The internal recruitment and development is stimulated in Royal Plaza Montreux & Spa*****. I have not seen the procedures myself, however my colleagues have helped me know the procedures and what has happened in the past in the Front Office department, where I am working at the moment.

This ideal location should have made the Rooms Division department undeniably profitable with its unique features: the direct view of the lake from the rooms. Nevertheless, there is one issue that is affecting profitability. It does not indeed come from the department itself but the decision of the management board.

With the purposes of minimising costs, a high proportion of staff at the hotels are fresh hospitality graduates, non-hospitality-based employees and interns. This, without a proper training procedure, along with the understaffing situation, really leaves the hotel insiders in a lot of impossible cases.
